McArthurs Ridge

Vineyard

In the heart of Central Otago, McArthur Ridge vineyard focusses solely on producing award-winning Pinot Noirs. Planted across an elevated plateau to capture the maximum amount of warmth, the vines have produced wines that have set the standard for Pinot Noirs internationally.

A relatively young Pinot Noir producing area, Central Otago has made a swift and notable name for itself as one of the world’s best Pinot Noir growing regions, where at its heart McArthur Ridge sits.

It started with plantings over 15 hectares in 2002, a subsequent 72 hectares in 2003 and another 73 hectares in 2004, with final planting in 2007 over the remaining 15 hectares. McArthur launched its maiden vintage in 2006, and while a large number of grapes are yielded, only select and handpicked grapes are chosen to produce multiple award-winning McArthur Ridge Pinot Noir.
