Arguably New Zealand’s most successful and enduring medium-density residential project, on the outskirts of Auckland’s CBD. A collection of 256 residential units of varying styles was yielded through a collaboration between four architectural firms.

The project retained and celebrated the existing Victorian buildings, which were repurposed as office, retail and leisure space. Featuring civic open spaces, vertical gardens, native terraces and strong pedestrian links, with a noticeably European character, it became and has remained a sought-after address. The design’s blend of heritage and modernity has incontrovertibly stood the test of time and stands as an enduring illustration of ground-breaking master-planning and design.
