The next wave of wellness isn’t about treatments or trends. It’s about the places where we live, rest, and reconnect.

When people talk about longevity, they usually mean living longer. I think about it differently: feeling well for longer. Moving easily. Thinking clearly. Staying connected. Enjoying each day. More good years—that’s what matters.

We call this health span. Not how long you live, but how long you stay healthy. Most of us will reach our eighties, but for how many of those years will you feel strong and independent?

The foundations are simple: daily movement, good sleep, nourishing food, managed stress, and meaningful relationships. We all know this. The challenge isn’t knowledge—it’s creating environments that make these habits effortless.

That’s wellness through design. The spaces we inhabit shape how we feel, often without us noticing. Natural light. Fresh air. Warm materials. Acoustic calm. When a room encourages connection or builds movement into daily life, well-being becomes natural, not forced. The conversation is shifting from “How do I stay young?” to “How do I stay well?” We don’t need extreme solutions. We need spaces that help us thrive, every single day.

That thinking now informs and drives every development project that we at Templeton are working on. Our objective is to design this into every master plan, every living space, and all external landscapes.
